EXAM ACCESS ARRANGMENTS

EXAM ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS: SCHOOLS

Where schools and colleges have my qualifications on file and a working relationship with me, I can provide the appropriate assessments to determine whether a student would qualify for Exam Access Arrangements. Travel costs to any school in Hertfordshire, North London, Bedfordshire and Essex are waived, as long as there are at least 4 students sitting the assessments. For schools outside of these areas, travel costs depend on the location of the school and how many students you are wanting to be assessed.
As Section 1 from Form 8 will already be filled in and sent to me prior to assessments, I can identify the specific areas of weakness and adapt the assessments I use accordingly, thus avoiding excessive testing time.
Each assessment will take approximately 30 minutes, and I guarantee all reports and Section 2s to be completed and returned within 4 weeks of the date of assessment. If you require the results sooner, please let me know before the assessment so that I can make appropriate adjustments where possible.

EXAM ACCESS ARRANGEMENTS: PRIVATE AND HOME EDUCATED CANDIDATES

Some students may be entitled to apply for Access Arrangements for their external exams. I can complete the appropriate section of Form 8 if the following steps have been followed:
Contact and liaison with the school must be made first, and Section 1 must already be filled in and sent from school to me prior to our assessment.
Please note the following information carefully: Schools can, and will, decline to apply for Exam Access Arrangements using my results if contact is not made before assessment.
Schools will need to have their own evidence on file for the application of Exam Access Arrangements.
The recommendations I make DO NOT on their own guarantee Exam Access Arrangements, and schools are required to provide proof of 'normal way of working' alongside my report. I can inform you what the student may qualify for based on the history, teacher feedback and assessment results, however, it is the school, using my assessment results, who ultimately decides what to apply for.
The earliest an assessment can be undertaken as evidence for Exam Access Arrangements is the beginning of Year 9. Any assessments sat before this point will not count as evidence.

Home educated students are entitled to apply for Exam Access Arrangements just as their peers in school are. Each centre will have their own policy on how to collect evidence and then administer the appropriate assessments. I can help advise students and their families through this process, as well as carrying out the assessments if required.

Please contact me for specific advice to your individual circumstances.
